on the sole and then is wrapped in pressure reducing, comforting sheepskin. Velcro
closures ensure that you
can adjust the Pressure Care Boots to the desired fit. Ideal for
people with bandaged feet. Open at the toe. Sturdy non-slip rubber
sole for outdoor use.
The
outsole is rigid, as this product is often used in plantar
wound management and post operative situations where a
stiffer sole is indicated. The outsole we use is the
softest we could use without being concerned as a
manufacturer that the soles would wear too quickly. We also
use a board construction which provides the foot with
stability. The outsole does soften with the natural flexing
of the foot. If the client has a shuffling walking gait,
then we suggest that you grind some of the ‘ripples’
from the forefoot area of the outsole, so that it does not
grip on the walking surface.
Pressure Care Boots are very wide fitting, and if the wearer
has a narrow/medium width foot, then this bulk may make the
walking gait clumsy and uncomfortable.

Footcare Lambswool
is the finest washable wool available.
It is used to wrap
toes to reduce
pressure on corns and foot injuries. This soft, lambswool rope is also used
to pack ballet shoes.
To separate closely overlapping toes, wind them in lambswool.
Be advised
that lambswool may shrink and therefore, it is recommended that you
place a pencil beside the toe and wrap the lambswool around both the
toe and pencil. When you remove the pencil, the toe is bound loosely
enough to allow for shrinkage.
