Pressure Smart XD1900  Overlays ( M02XD)  have amazing

properties:

• Pressure Reducing Capabilities:

          Greater cushioning in pressure sensitive areas such as the shoulders,

          elbows lower back and buttocks.

•  Shear & Friction Management:

           The wool fibres contour and cushion the body at the same time as it

           reduces shear and friction.

• Moisture Management:

         Wool absorbs up to 30% of its weight in water- without feeling wet,

         which is a key factor in keeping the  skin dry and preventing ulcer

         development.

• Machine Washable:

          Machine wash and dry. Easy care and longevity without losing its

         therapeutic properties.

• Thermal Control Capabilities:

          Warm in winter and cool in summer. Wool insulates the body from

         the underlying surface, keeping the body temperature uniform.

The HiTemp Pressure Smart XD Overlay is a 26 " x 39.5" = 65cm x 100cm  pure Merino wool pad, large enough to protect the body from the shoulders to below the buttocks. With 1900g/m2  of soft lambswool, this exceptional pressure reducing product is the ideal choice for all users and care givers who are trying to prevent pressure sores. The HiTemp Pressure Smart XD Overlay is urine resistant and recommended for incontinent users. This pad has a wool pile density greater than most sheepskins and recent trials have suggested that they perform better than sheepskins. They are certainly easier to launder. Best protection occurs when the skin is in direct contact with the wool. This may not be possible for  incontinent users. Purchase 2 for continuous protection- 24/7- every day, year round.   Care: Machine wash in Woolskin on a gentle /wool cycle. Woolskin will condition and disinfect the wool. Machine dry. Do not"over-dry" since wool does best with 15% residual moisture.
