Australian Healthcare Lambskin: M101

Excellent Quality:

Features:

You only have to run your fingers through the pile of this sheepskin to know how good it is. It feels soft, silky, soothing and is as good as you will find anywhere.

These specially selected lambskins are luxurious and functional; being therapeutic to touch and excellent for pressure sore prevention. Their silky soft dense Merino wool pile adds a new sense of well being to the user. The leather backing is well buffed and soft. Ideal for use on a chair, airplane seat, recliner, chesterfield, car seat or wheelchair. These luxurious, soothing, double chrome tanned sheepskins are large: approx 30" x 40"...greater than 0.8 square meters. Their very dense 30 mm champagne colored pile creates excellent pressure sore prevention together with moisture and shear reduction - the 3 major causes of pressure sores, bedsores and decubitus ulcers.

Benefits:

Many people place these beautifully soft sheepskins on their chair or sofa for comfort and warmth. A more comforting surface does not exist. You will find yourself running your fingers through the pile, without even thinking about it.

Australian Healthcare Lambskins should be washed in cool or luke water and Woolskin. If they are washed in hot water, they may shrink. Don't let this feature deter you from purchasing these sheepskins. Disinfection is most important if open wounds are present. People with open wounds should use HiTemp wash skins (M102 and M102C and SC104), which can be thermally disinfected in hot water.  Sheepskins can be disinfected using Woolskin in either cool or hot water.

If the client is continent, this Warm Water Wash Lambskin will give excellent pressure sore prevention from the shoulders to below the buttocks. Use in the bed, wheelchair or on the sofa. They are wonderfully soft and they add a new sense of well-being to the user.

M101 is NOT recommended for incontinent clients because they are not UR (Urine Resistant) and may be permanently damaged by urine and feces.

For incontinent clients we recommend:

Care:

Machine washable in Woolskin. Use cool - warm water and a low agitation washing cycle. After washing, dry on a drying rack or on the back of a chair with the leather facing  up. The leather takes longer to dry than the wool. Do not dry in the sun or near direct heat. Normal household detergents, like Tide, will damage the leather of washable sheepskins.

This is one of many products offered by Down-Under Wool for the Prevention of Pressure Sores, Bedsores & Decubitus Ulcers. To see these products click"Product List

    m101 medical sheepskin-low temp wash

Posted by Laura on 3rd Oct 2020

feels good, sleeping better but it's a lot smaller than expected. Also, did not receive sample of wash solution in shipment as stated in shipping paperwork. That would be good to try before paying high cost for shipping.

    excellent Quality

The fleece is very thick and extremely comfortable and the size of the pelt is perfect. I use the pelts on all of my motor home furniture seats and my office chair at home. They are warm in winter and cooling in summer. There is nothing that can beat real wool fleece for luxury and comfort. They were shipped quickly, too. Thanks for an excellent product.
