I ordered several of the medical sheepskin products a little over a year ago (recently ordered a second seat pad), and want to report that they were instrumental in helping my mother recover from pressure sores she developed while in a rehab program. I did my research, and came to the conclusion that the most important purchases I could make to assist the nursing staff's efforts to heal her wounds (she lives in a long-term care facility on a skilled nursing unit), were a specialized mattress for her bed and these medical grade sheepskin products. They have worn extremely well, been through a few washings, and offer the perfect airy cushion to limit pressure on the skin. I'm very glad to have found the Medical Sheepskins website!
